  William (Bill) R. Kenyon

  Senior Counsel

  Bill has practiced in Canandaigua for over 40 years, having started his career in Rochester, NY, in 1967. Since 1993, he has practiced with his son Edward “Russ” Kenyon. Their practice recently merged with Boylan Code to provide even greater services to the Finger Lakes Region. Bill concentrates his practice on estate planning and administration, residential and commercial real estate, and municipal law. He was admitted to practice in New York State in 1967 and the United States Supreme Court in 1993. Bill received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law. While at Syracuse, Bill was a Senior Editor of the Syracuse Law Review and a Justinian Honorary Law Society member. He is the past president of the Ontario County Bar Association, former President of Canandaigua Lake Pure Waters Limited, and a former member of the Board of Directors of Literacy Volunteers of Ontario and Yates County. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Rochester Medical Center and Thompson Health System in Canandaigua, where he is the past Chairman of the Board. Bill is a member of the Trusts and Estate Section of the New York State Bar Association. He has lectured for local bar association programs and community groups on various estate planning and administration aspects.

  Edward (Russ) C. Kenyon

  Russ grew up in Canandaigua and graduated from Marcus Whitman High School. For almost 30 years he has helped clients with Elder Law, Estate and Trust Planning and Administration, and helped families plan for long term care, including Trusts, Medicaid and Long-Term Care plans. Russ has also assisted clients buy and sell residential and commercial real estate, also representing lenders in that area. He is a Member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc., the New York State Bar Association and the Ontario County Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer to attorneys and community groups on Estate and Medicaid Planning and other issues. Russ has served on many Boards and Organizations, including the New York State Aging Services Advisory Committee, the Ontario County Office for the Aging Advisory Board, the Thompson Health Ethics Committee, and the ARC Ontario Board of Directors. He is the Chair of the Canandaigua Foundation, Inc. (80 Parrish Street Senior Apartments and Wilcox Lane Senior Apartments), and past Chair of the Finger Lakes Visitors Connection and the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce. Russ lives in Bloomfield with his wife Heather where he is a Town Justice. He has coached Youth Sports for over 30 years and is currently a Lead Coach with Upstate New York Diving. His daughter is a trainee with the Nashville Ballet and his son is a Cadet at the United States Air Force Academy.
